To become a teacher in the UK, you’ll need:
GCSEs at grade 4 or above in English, maths, and (for primary teaching) science.
A degree in any subject or equivalent qualification.

Supply teaching is a flexible and rewarding career option for many educators. Supply teachers can work on a daily or long-term basis, depending on their availability and preferences. Supply teachers can choose when and where they want to work, and enjoy the variety and challenge of teaching in different schools and settings.
However, cover teaching is not necessarily a full-time job. Supply teachers are usually paid by the day or by the hour, and their income may vary depending on the demand and supply of teachers in their area. Some supply teachers may prefer to work part-time, while others may seek to secure a full-time contract or a permanent position.
